This Zoom online learning session will be led by Kurt Kleiner, a Commercial airplane and sailplane pilot and CFI. We will take an in-depth look at the conditions necessary for wave to form, the different types of mountain wave, and where to find indicators of mountain wave in common weather reports and forecasts. This learning session is eligible for WINGS credits. YOU MUST REGISTER FOR THE CONVENTION TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS ZOOM SESSION.

This Zoom, online learning session will be led by Mike Kincaid (CFII, M.Ed., SAG) and Dr. Rachael Ferraro, Senior HIMS Aviation Medical Examiner and founder of Aviate Medical based in Coeur d‘Alene. What the instructors will cover: How to crash and survive. Worst case scenario. Camping gear vs survival gear. Successful survival stories. First aid with what you have. Making the best with what you have available in the wild. Survival use for aircraft parts. This learning session is eligible for Wings Credits. Learn how to perform first-aid skills on yourself and others when an unfortunate accident occurs in the backcountry. This 2-3 hour, hands-on learning session will be led by Dr. Chet Stringham, medical director of an EMS service for a mountainous county. Flight paramedic Gretchen Roth will assist. This event kicks off the Skywagon Convention in Coeur d‘Alene, Idaho. Course registration is separate from the convention. The first-aid course is Sponsored by AeroLEDS.
