Dry Vacuum Pump
Author Last Post
Thanks Jim.....

The old oil lubricated pump was giving a maximum of 4.9 inches at full power and 1 - 2 inches throttled back in the descent. (That was with the regulator tweeked up.)

I've a new dry vacuum pump on and I get the same sort of pressures. Less than the 4.6 - 5.4 at normal throttle settings I had expected. Everything looks OK - no split hoses, etc.  Any thoughts, please?

Remove the wet pump, and install the dry pump, then make a log book entry stating what was accomplished, and an A&P can sign it off.
Done.

I'd like to put a dry vac pump on my 1956 C180 which has a wet pump on the Continental O-470-K engine. Is there an STC for this?
