You are quite right Tony. That's what I get for trusting my memory when I don't have my 'wagon nearby! I should have just kept my mouth shut. So when will Aeropod offer this kit as well?

If you want, I can PM you pictures of the cracked bellcrank mounting brackets and elongated spring attach holes I found when I installed my bellcrank inspection covers. These issues were missed by numerous previous inspections, including a pre-buy done by a local expert that will remain nameless here. Maybe it will help you guys make more sales. Looks like a good product for something I believe should be installed in ALL Skywagons. I love my Aeropod-pod too!

The doubler for SK185-27 actually has joggles on top of joggles. Not that it would be impossible to fabricate, but it definitely isn't flat.

The dual inspection covers are especially effective in giving unobstructed easy view of the crucial bellcranks and bulkhead where cracks occur and the bellcrank spring attach holes will wear out.

The inspection cover aft of that bulkhead that provides jack screw access is easily fabricated (no joggles), and can be installed with a simple A&P logbook entry. Just copy factory installed parts and note its installation per AC 43-13.

Mack, from Skywagon City checked in... nothing available at his location.

Guess I'll just keep kicking the brush to see if I can flush one out from somewhere.

Sorry - you’re correct. I misread his email. The kit I sent is for forward of the bulkhead and most useful for converting wheels to floats.

Previous owner had cut a round inspection hole in the tail to access the jack screws.  I’ve known of this kit all along, but the airplane has been signed off in past years until now.  Okay, it’s time to comply, except the parts are out of stock everywhere and it seems it may be as much as 6 months before one might show up at my location.

Beegles had one on eBay, but it was sold last month.  I've got an email into Mack at Skywagon City to see if they might have one.  He's supposed to get back to me this week sometime.

Anyone have these parts lying around?

Thanks.
